What is a digital business card?
A digital business card is an online page containing the contact details you want to share. It can include your name, role, company, phone number, email, website and social profiles. A link or QR code takes someone directly to that page.
With majlis, recipients can also download a vCard: a .vcf contact file supported by many phone and desktop contact applications. They do not need a majlis account to view a published card or download it.
How to create and share a card with majlis
- Activate your account. Continue with Google and enter a valid invitation code. Invitation access is currently free.
- Choose the context. Complete your Professional or Personal card, adding the photo and details that suit that introduction.
- Check what is visible. Select the fields you want to share, then publish the card. Review its public page before using it.
- Share your QR code or link. Show the QR code from your dashboard in person, or copy the card link into a message.
- Let your recipient save your details. They open the public page and select Save to contacts. Their device guides them through the import.

Separate business and personal introductions
Work and life often call for different details. A majlis Professional card might include a business email and portfolio; a Personal card might show selected personal contact information. Each has a separate link and QR code.
Visibility settings apply both to the public card and its downloaded contact. A public card is still public to anyone with its link, so only publish information you are comfortable sharing.
Using a digital card across countries and devices
Share a link with someone abroad just as you would with someone in the same room. Add a country code to phone numbers and use complete website addresses so recipients can reach you easily.
iPhone, Android and desktop browsers can open published cards. Contact import steps and photo handling depend on the receiving device or contact application. It is worth scanning and saving your own card before an important event.
What changes when you edit your card?
Your public link and QR code continue to point to your updated card. A vCard saved earlier is a separate copy: edits do not automatically update someone else’s phone contacts. They can revisit your link and save the updated contact.
If you unpublish a card, its public page becomes unavailable. Copies already downloaded remain with the recipient.
